Mission: KLAS was founded as a private co-educational Japanese boarding high school in the Alpine resort of Leysin, Switzerland, and is in close proximity to the international cities of Geneva and Lausanne. The mission of KLAS is to foster the personal growth of each student, instil a sense of self-awareness as an international citizen, and encourage respect for achievement. The school strives to develop powers of critical and creative thinking, to prepare its students for life as citizens of the world. Recognizing the importance of personal development and self-esteem, the school provides students with varied opportunities for achievement and personal fulfillment through academic studies and other extra-curricular pursuits.
