With the recent release of the FileMaker 12 product line, we're interested in focusing DevCamp on FileMaker 12, and FileMaker Go.

This new suite of applications brings a whole host of new features including:

• an updated design surface
• theme based layouts
• robust container support
• easier and enhanced charting
• and a new version of FileMaker Go (it’s free!).

At DevCamp, we can spend time together investigating these new features, and asking questions like:

• How does the new design surface affect the way that I build applications?
• Can the new ExecuteSQL function change the way that I produce reports?
• What is the plan for migrating to 12? Can I do it now, or should I wait?
• Can the new charting engine be used to extend the usefulness of my data?
• Does the new free version of FileMaker Go change my mobile strategy?

Be inspired! Work side-by-side with other developers over three days on projects that matter.

Call for Developers who want to collaborate on projects (not iR solutions). Take three days to move projects from the drawing board to the circuit board. Sprint ahead with access to different perspectives and insight from people who love building solutions as much as you do.

There’s a wealth of FileMaker developer expertise in the independent school world. At this open meeting for FileMaker developers for independent schools, we’ll hit the ground running and aim to cross the finish line with ready-to-be-finished prototypes of projects you want to do. We’ll determine together, in advance, what the projects will be, and we’ll leave with a whole new set of skills.

While the rest of the iR crowd is populating iR University sessions nearby, we’ll crank up the enthusiasm for projects we need and dive into writing code for the greater Good. Developers’ hours and fertile conditions will prevail. This event is not to be missed.

inRESONANCE organizes iR DEVELOPER CAMP as a service to the industry, to bring together FileMaker developers across the independent school world to meet, to share, to explore. We harness the collective energy and expertise to create and launch free solutions for the prep school market.

You’ll take away a deeper understanding of best developer practices as well as inspiration and methodologies that can reduce costs, reduce your need for support, and ensure smoother migrations. You’ll also forge partnerships as a charter member of this group of the best FileMaker developers in independent schools dedicated to creating and distributing open FileMaker solutions for all.

To keep the event informal and accessible, we ask only $200 per person for the entire conference. When DevCamp coincides with and iRU event, we join the school folks attending iRU for meals and our traditional reception on the first night.
