iR Solutions, FMP and Plugin Compatibility
If you are planning to upgrade from a previous version of FMP to FMP 9, 10 or 11 below are guidelines to consider before doing so:
Our solutions are compatible with all versions of FMP above 8.5 with the exception of FAM which requires FMP 9 or above. GWS and RWS require FMP 10 or above.
Different versions of FMP require different versions of plugins. Please consult the charts below for more information.
Please note: FMP 10 and 11 user interfaces are considerably different from previous versions of FMP. You may want to plan some inservice opportunities for your users beforehand.

Plugin Install with iRLOCKFILE
iRLOCKFILE requires that the user is logged into the computer with an administrator-level account (local administrator privileges) to properly install plugins. If the user does not have administrator privileges, we recommend that an administrator log into the client machine, open the FileMaker application that needs the plugin (e.g. BROADCASTER), quit FileMaker, logout, and then have the non-admin user login and launch the FileMaker application. This will cause the iRLOCKFILE to auto install necessary plugins.
Plugin Download for Manual Installation
In the event that plugins must be installed manually, visit the manufactors's website below and download the desired plugin. Place the individual plugin in the FMP Extensions folder. (Note: To find the Extensions folder, look for the AutoUpdate.fmplugin, which was installed with FMP.) Please check the compatibility chart above to determine the correct version of each plugin to install.
After the plugins are manually installed, iRLOCKFILE will register the plugins automatically.
