Congratulations to new client Nishimachi International School in Tokyo, Japan, which marked its 60th Anniversary in School Year 2009/2010. Founded by Tane Matsukata in 1949 during the period of rebuilding following WWII, Nishimachi International School pioneered a new approach, "one that stressed the human side of learning and had peaceful coexistence with others as an objective." Today, over 450 students, representing 33 countries, attend Nishimachi International School. Two-hundred and fourteen of these children hold dual or multiple citizenships; 256 hold U.S. citizenship; and 266, Japanese. Many students are bilingual. Nishimachi is committed to a diverse student body.
