What is personally identifiable information?
Personally identifiable information is data that can be used on its own or in combination with other data to identify a specific individual. Examples of personally identifiable information include a person’s name, postal address, social security number, or driver’s license number.
What data are we collecting on the inRESONANCE public website?
inRESONANCE does not collect personally identifiable information on its public website unless you specifically provide that information. In the course of using our website, you may be asked to provide personally identifiable information when registering on the site, or when requesting more information from us about a product or service. If you encounter a page that asks for this type of information, and you do not want to provide this information, simply close the page without filling out the form.
If you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information, inRESONANCE will use this information only as specified where you entered the information. Specifically, we may use the information (1) to contact you about products or services about which you have inquired, (2) to make the site easier for you to use (by giving you access to areas of our website without entering your personally identifiable information repeatedly), (3) to alert you to product updates, announcements, and new or improved services offered by inRESONANCE, and (4) to help us deliver content that is more relevant to you. Note that inRESONANCE is the sole owner of any information collected on its public website.
What data are we collecting on the inRESONANCE private services?
This section applies only to those users that are accessing the private services of inRESONANCE such as an online inquiry or application for admission to a school, School Forms Online, BillPay, or any other inRESONANCE hosted online system other than the public website. If you are only accessing the public inRESONANCE website (www.inresonance.com) this section does not apply to you.
The inRESONANCE private services are hosted on behalf of a client organization (the service subscriber). When you submit data via an inRESONANCE private service, inRESONANCE processes that data and makes it immediately available to and under the control of the client organization. In the course of using these inRESONANCE private services, you may be asked to provide personally identifiable information. If you encounter a page that asks for this type of information, and you do not want to provide this information, simply close the page without filling out the form.
inRESONANCE will not use any of the information provided as part of an inRESONANCE private service in any way except in aggregate form to improve our services. inRESONANCE does not have control over what type of information a client organization may choose to collect via the inRESONANCE private service, nor how a client organization may choose to use the information collected by the inRESONANCE private service. Please contact the relevant client organization for details on their specific privacy policies.
Will inRESONANCE sell or share this information?
inRESONANCE does not rent, sell or share personally identifiable information with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you have requested, when inRESONANCE has your permission, or under the following circumstances:
inRESONANCE may share aggregated demographic information with its partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. inRESONANCE may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, inRESONANCE will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. Per inRESONANCE's contractual arrangements with partners, these partners are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the explicit purpose of providing these services.
inRESONANCE shall respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise its legal rights or defend against legal claims.
How do I correct or update the information that inRESONANCE has collected?
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as e-mail address or ZIP code), or if a user no longer desires inRESONANCE's service(s), he/she can update his/her profile by contacting inRESONANCE support ([email protected]). inRESONANCE will endeavor to correct, update or remove the personal data provided by the user. Correcting information that is part of an inRESONANCE private service is handled by the client organization. Please contact the relevant client organization for details on making changes to data collected via the inRESONANCE private service.
What kind of security is in place to protect this information?
inRESONANCE takes all necessary precautions to protect users' personal information both online and offline. Whenever information is collected from the inRESONANCE public website or an inRESONANCE private service, we use industry standard SSL encryption to protect that data while in transit. Access to your personal information is limited to employees whom inRESONANCE reasonably believes will need that information to provide services to you. However, inRESONANCE is not responsible for the confidentiality, security or distribution of your own personal information by our partners and third parties, which occurs outside the scope of your agreement with inRESONANCE. inRESONANCE shall not be liable for the transfer of any personal identification information resulting from loss or distribution of data, the delineation or corruption of storage media, power failures, natural phenomena, riots, acts of vandalism, sabotage, terrorism or any other event beyond inRESONANCE's control.
How does inRESONANCE protect users who are under the age of 13 and users who are under the age of 18?
The inRESONANCE public website, is not intended for users under the age of 13 and users under 13 years of age may not submit information through the inRESONANCE public website. In the event inRESONANCE becomes aware that a user of its public website is under 13 years of age, that user account will be immediately terminated and all data associated with that account will be deleted.
The parent or legal guardian of an inRESONANCE public website user under the age of 18 (a minor) may request that inRESONANCE provide a description of the personally identifiable information that inRESONANCE has collected from the minor, as well as instruct inRESONANCE to cease further use, maintenance and collection of personally identifiable information from the minor.
inRESONANCE private services may be used by users under the age of 13, but only after receiving written consent from the person's parent after informing the parent about the types of information inRESONANCE will collect, how it will be used, and under what circumstances it will be disclosed. Obtaining this consent is the responsibility of the client organization.
Parents or legal guardians of an inRESONANCE private service user under the age of 18 (a minor) should work directly with the client organization to obtain a description of the personally identifiable information that the client organization has collected from the minor, as well as instruct the client organization to cease further use, maintenance and collection of personally identifiable information from the minor. inRESONANCE will work directly with the client organization to assist with fulfilling these requests.
How will I be notified of important updates to the inRESONANCE private services?
As necessary, inRESONANCE may send the user site and service announcement updates via email. Users are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service.
Can I opt out of receiving email from inRESONANCE?
Members of the inRESONANCE public website may occasionally receive notices of new or improved products or newsletters via email. You may opt out of receiving future mailings or other information from inRESONANCE by sending an email to [email protected] indicating the type of information that you no longer wish to receive.
