PORTAL Web Services (PWS) v. 2.1 adds online recommendations to this powerful engine!
Extend the power of PORTAL to the web—prospective students and their families submit inquiries and applications, and pay application fees online. And now you can build and assign different recommendation forms to different grades. Applicants invite teachers by email to complete a secure, confidential, online recommendation. Admission Office productivity will soar.
When you move your applications and recommendations online, families can manage their own process. They can see deadlines and status for every required step. Imagine the time savings, not having to answer calls from parents wondering which forms are still outstanding!
With PWS, the data from your online forms feeds directly into PORTAL, which searches your database to determine if the form should be linked to a known family, or used to create a new record. The data from the application is imported electronically into PORTAL—no duplicate data entry.
You create your own recommendation forms—as many different forms as you need for different grades and groups—and families email the link to their recommenders. Teachers receive their own secure login where they complete the form online.
Just as families can check often to ensure a complete application, they can also learn the school's decision the instant it is posted. All this within an easy-to-use, password protected, secure environment.
On the school side, you can view partially completed applications and reach out to families you want to encourage with invitations or reminders.
